Meet Anita!

Hi, my name is Anita Carrington. I have been in the Beauty Industry for over 21 years. I am a nail technician and a make-up artist. I have worked with Clinique and Estee Lauder at the department store level. I am now pleased to be working with the Jane Iredale line. These products are so much more than just make-up. The are an extension of skin care and are truly good for your skin. The product is non-comedogenic and oil free. It will not clog pores while offering broad spectrum sun protection against both UVA and UVB rays. With one quick application, skin discolorations are disguised for a smooth and even look. Our Gals Tell Their Stories

ALOHA !! My name is Susan Beall. I started at the Nail Shop, as an esthetician, in 1993. As that was my first job in skin care, I started going to Oahu and the mainland for more training. I eventually got my post graduate diploma from the International Dermal Institute. I specialize in Brazilian bikini waxing as well as facials, lash and brow tinting, lunchtime peels and body scrubs.

HI ! My name is Jessica Williams. I have been a licensed esthetician since 2006. Skin care has been a part of my life from a very young age. My aunt developed her own line of skin care products and I began working for her company when I was 15. Since that time, I have continued my education in skin care as well as waxing. I especially enjoy eyebrow shaping, taking an individualized approach with every client. While recently adding ear piercing to our list of services, I am also in training for lash extensions. They are an amazing way to enhance natural lashes, making them fuller and longer. Keep checking, we will be offering this service very soon!

SKIN CARE SKIN CARE is an important part of our daily regime. There are many facets of skin care to consider. The products that are being made today are very effective in helping to keep the skin's youthful appearance. Here at the Nail Shop and Advanced Aesthetics, our trained aestheticians can help you determine a regime that is tailor made for your specific skin type and personality. WOW!!! Here we are at 3 months!

Jamie and I love being a part of this special family at The Nail Shop. It has been wonderful getting to know all of you and meeting new clients as well. Jamie feels totally in her element and loves every minute of every day. I have heard so many wonderful things and we really appreciate the feedback from the new things we are trying. The breast cancer awareness items are doing well. So far, we have donated $281.35 to the American Breast Cancer society. So, thanks to all of you who have made that possible.

I have to share something really special with you!!!!!

Last month, I became aware of a new skin treatment offered by Medispa Maui. It is called the Palomar 1540. It uses an array of high precision micro-beams to give you the maximal skin tightening and collagen stimulation possible with a non-ablative laser. This cutting edge treatment leaves the top layer of the skin intact and initiates a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue via a series of treatments. Well, let me tell you, it's amazing. I had my first treatment on June 8th.

Ok, let's be honest here. I was excited about the procedure and terrified at the same time. We started with some numbing cream on my face. After about 45 minutes and with cool-air blowing on my face, we were ready to proceed. The procedure took about 30 minutes give or take. My face was a little hot, a little red and a little puffy. I took a couple of ibuprofen and went over to the shop to show the girls. After a few hours, the heat was gone !! Three week s later, I can see remarkable improvement to my skin. I am totally looking forward to my next treatment on July 5th. I will have one more in August. In September, I will be brave and show you the "no makeup, no smile" before and after shots !!
